The Infinity City: A New Machine Landscape of Symbiosis with Plastic
This project proposes a new network within London’s infrastructural system that contains, processes, and reuses the city’s plastic material. A new landscape is formed that grows and augments with environmental constraints and the circular economy of plastic. The masterplan is a multi-layered system that generates new recycled plastic material for the city. As a finite resource that remains within its area of collection. plastic creates a new dialogue between our over-consumption and material needs.
The Infinity City is a new network within London’s infrastructural system that contains, processes, and reuses the city’s plastic material.
A new landscape is formed within East London that grows and augments with environmental constraints and the circular economy of plastic.
Data collected about non-human systems, human systems, and pollution are combined to form strategic areas of design input for the machine landscape.
