‘Rewilding’ has been defined as an idea concerned with the recreation of the natural environment. It aims to bring back the diversity of ecology and to secure and establish sustainable living, not only for humans but also other species and birds.

This project aims to replace the industrial port by creating a natural room along the coastline, blending the site with existing natural preservation areas. Additionally, the project presents the possibility of rewilding the diversity of ecology both inland and on the seabed. With its strategic location, the site is designed to be a connection between the city, existing natural areas, and the marine environment. The coral landscape design has been inspired and reformed by the complexity of shape, form, pattern, grouping, and flow of the character of corals through physical modelling experiments. The unique landforms intend to build up a new natural community which also acts to filter pollution and sediment between the coast and the fjord. These landforms also serve as a nursery for plants and animals.
